leARnCHEM: Chemistry Through Augmented Reality |
leARnCHEM is an Augmented Reality mobile application for visualizing chemistry molecules and focuses on molecular orbitals and symmetry. Molecules can be rendered onto any surface making it easy to use anywhere you go. The app is Free to download and is available on IOS and Android devices.
Symmetry and Scan
View, animate and interact with symmetry elements of over 50 molecules and test your knowledge of symmetry and point groups with our quizzes.
Use your device's camera to detect surfaces for the molecule to be rendered on, or scan the targets provided below to quickly open a molecule of interest.
Molecular Orbitals
Visualize and interact with atomic orbitals (s, p, d, f) and the molecular orbitals of simple molecules using interactive molecular orbital diagrams.
Interact with the molecules to get different viewpoints for better visualization
One finger – drag one finger on screen to Rotate the molecule
Two fingers – pinch with two fingers to Scale the molecule size
Three fingers – drag three fingers to Move the molecule anywhere
Additionally, you can physically rotate your mobile device around the molecule to see different angles and views.
Whether you are a student, teacher or just have an interest in chemistry, this app has everything you need to learn about symmetry and orbitals.
