Biography :
Alyx Dellamonica joined the Department of Chemistry in 2023 after a long career as a freelance writer, arts and science journalist, and award-winning fiction writer. They have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia (2020) as well as a BA in Dramatic Arts from the University of Lethbridge. Alyx taught Creative Writing at UTSC and in the UCLA Extension Writers' program while also writing content for the SyFy Channel, Amazon.com, NBC and Tor.com, among others, as well as working on magazines, non-profit writers' organizations, and a host of futurist projects.
