A new Matter of Opinion piece, authored by Professor Geoffrey Ozin, has appeared in the May 2024 issue of Matter.

He cites important advances and a surge in single atom chemistry and catalysis R&D over the past decade as evidence of a resurgence, a comeback from a long period during which this research area lay all but dormant, awaiting a breakthrough.
Ozin takes readers through the history of single atom catalysis and in particular the discoveries of recent decades, predicting an exciting future.
