Five members of the Chemistry Faculty were honored at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (CSC 2024) in Winnipeg on June 2-6, 2024.
Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition is the premier conference for the Canadian Society for Chemistry. According to the conference website, CSC brings together over two thousand delegates from Canada and around the world annually, with a goal of strengthing both the Canadian and international chemical science communities. The event also seeks to share developments in chemical sciences and their role in solving global challenges, while showcase rising talents in the chemical sciences.
Chemistry's awardees in 2024 were:

- Hui Peng, Chemical Institute of Canada Environment Division Early Career Research Award. (Peng profile and interview).
- Dwight Seferos, 2024 CSC - Award for Research Excellence in Materials Chemistry. (Seferos interview).

Chemistry chair Mark Lautens, who was among the faculty attending the conference in Winnipeg, congratulated all the award recipients: "We are very pleased and honoured to have so many of our faculty be recognized by the Canadian Society for Chemistry and the Chemical Institute of Canada."
