Dr. Reggie Mills is the winner of the 2021 Chair's Doctoral Medal.
Mills obtained his PhD in 2020 under the direction of Professor Sophie Rousseaux. The title of his thesis is “New Strategies for C–O and C–C Functionalization in the Contexts of Cyclopropanol Chemistry, Transnitrilation, and Ni Catalysis”.
Mills made numerous contributions during his PhD, which led to the development of new methods to access important compounds in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries. He is currently a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton.
